古代銅鐘有什么作用
一、樂器。銅鐘作為樂器是最為常見的，也是最開始的時候。在古代祭祀或者宴饗的時候，經(jīng)常將銅鐘作為樂器來奏樂，在歷代所鑄造的鐘里，也有其他材質(zhì)的鐘，例如鐵質(zhì)鐘，但絕大多數(shù)還是銅鐘。

二、佛教法器。銅鐘作為佛教法器對于我們來說并不陌生，“當(dāng)一天和尚撞一天鐘”里面所說的鐘就是銅鐘，銅鐘已經(jīng)成為了佛教寺廟的一個標(biāo)志，只要聽見銅鐘的聲音第一反映就是寺廟。自佛教傳入我國以來，銅鐘就逐步的成為了佛教寺院中必不可少的法器。

三、王權(quán)的象征。我們都知道古代的鼎是王權(quán)的象征，權(quán)利越大，鼎的足越多。其實(shí)在古代，銅鐘和鼎一樣，也是統(tǒng)治階級王權(quán)的象征，自唐朝以后，歷代的封建統(tǒng)治者都鑄造各種不同的鐘，越來越大，以顯示自己高高在上的統(tǒng)治地位。在明代永樂年間鑄造過一個巨型的銅鐘，重量達(dá)到了數(shù)十噸。
